Meet the Doulas and Postpartum Professionals night is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet the amazing doulas, postpartum doulas, and breastfeeding specialists we have here at DYDC. Your time will be spent learning about the benefits of having a Birth and/or Post Partum Doula and have the opportunity to interview each of our DYDC doulas one on one. You will also receive information or support about breastfeeding from our breastfeeding partners at Healthy Horizons.

This class will teach you useful tools to coming home from the hospital with your new baby. You will learn tools such as newborn care, new parent adjustment techniques, breastfeeding support and comfort techniques for your baby. This is a two day class with one day dedicated to newborn care and comfort techniques and the other focusing more on taking care of yourself.

“Birthing Mothers” and “Birthing Parents”

“Birthing Mothers” and “Birthing Parents” are programs offering community, education, support, guidance, and psychotherapeutic services to help address the developmental, psychological, physical, and spiritual dimensions and transitions of pregnancy, motherhood, and parenthood.  “Birthing Mothers” and “Birthing Parents” Programs are group meetings and classes that integrate healing rituals. 

Topics include: 

“Initiation into Motherhood”

“Pregnancy and the Birth Experience”

“Child and Maternal Development”

“Prepartum and Postpartum Wellness and Adjustment”

“Preparing for Baby.”
