AFTER discussing an effective alternative to manage stress and help quicken healing process though the usage of Reiki therapy, I now welcome you as we open yet another new and exacting chapter in our health column. This time we are now talking food and nutrition.
As promised in last week’s edition that we would start to look at how we can make good choices on the heath food to keep healthy and strong with high immunity, we kick start today by the right choices of food.
One’s diet must be wisely and carefully chosen in order to achieve the above desire. Our bodies require just a certain amount of starch, protein, and fat. This should be well measured because anything in excess or less can be harmful to our health.
Today we will focus on the benefits of taking in a lot of vegetables and fruits as a great heath solution as opposed to a lot of ‘tasty’ but toxic red meat.
To those who love meat so much, talking to them about living as vegetarians just sounds like telling them to take plain bread with water!
I am a vegetarian myself living happily and missing nothing in meats. I enjoy a very good and sound health. Try it!
Less do they know that abundant vegetables and fruits that contain a high proportion of mineral salts which immensely helps in the prevention of constipation. Constipation predisposes our bodies to a lot of diseases.
Though liked by a lot, meat is not the only source of energy. Yes it may give strait temporarily but it loads the body with toxic substances.
When we provide the body with a lot of meaty foods, which has less mineral nutrients, the body will be filled up with toxins that will inhabit its proper function as well as impending healing.
The elimination of red meat from our diet and eating more fruits and vegetables is a great help to keeping our bodies healthy and free of impurities.
Whenever the body feels tired, drink a glass of pure pineapple or orange juice; it will instantly help you regain your energy.
An excellent energy provider though is pure orange juice with finely ground almonds mixed in. Nuts are more readily assimilated in combination with orange juice.
Remember, it is important to drink an abundance of liquids. When good water is available, fresh fruit juices, coconut water and water melon provide an excellent supplement and partial substitute.
Do not forget to include some butter and milk in your daily diet. Milk has helpful laxative properties. Although melon has excellent disinfecting qualities, it aggravates sinus irritation.
There is nothing more satisfying than bread made from freshly ground wheat. You must keep your body free from toxins so you will not be fatigued.
It is these body toxins that end up making you feel tired and sick.Something that tastes good and fills the stomach doesn’t necessarily satisfy bodily needs.
Since food is an important carrier of energy into the body, it is best to ensure a good supply of energy through proper eating.
A good and balanced diet should contribute as many of the necessary elements as possible at every meal.
Eat sufficient protein, many vitamins and minerals, some fats and oils, and some natural carbohydrates (but few starches and sugars).
